You have tried every diet. Check the stack too.

Peppermint oil, probiotics by strain, L-glutamine, and magnesium all appear in the IBS research. Scan the supplements you already take and see how they line up.

What the evidence shows.

Peppermint oil has some of the cleaner evidence in functional GI care. A 2019 meta-analysis (Alammar and colleagues, pooling a dozen randomized trials) found enteric-coated peppermint oil improved overall IBS symptoms significantly more often than placebo.

About 45 million Americans live with IBS or chronic GI symptoms, and most have already tried low-FODMAP and elimination diets. The supplement layer (peppermint oil, specific probiotic strains, L-glutamine, magnesium form) rarely makes it into a standard GI visit.

A note on safety. Peppermint oil can worsen reflux and is not right for everyone. Check with your clinician before adding it, especially if you take other medications.

What NuLevels checks.

Diet covered, stack ignored?

Most people with IBS have already done low-FODMAP and elimination diets. The supplement layer is treated as an afterthought, even though peppermint oil and select probiotic strains have some of the cleanest evidence in functional GI care.

Probiotic by strain, not by marketing?

IBS subtypes respond to specific strains, not species or brands. Most shelf probiotics list a genus and species but not the strain code. NuLevels reads what is on the label so you can match it to the research.

Any gut-disruptive additives hiding?

Artificial sweeteners, emulsifiers, and certain fillers can aggravate IBS and show up even in ‘gut-health’ products. NuLevels flags them so they are not quietly competing with the diet work you are already doing.

From bottles on the counter to a clear picture.

Scan your stack. NuLevels reads every label and builds an IBS-aware view: probiotic strain, dose, and the evidence behind each ingredient.

It flags gut-disruptive additives, artificial sweeteners, emulsifiers, and certain fillers, so the bottles meant to help are not quietly competing with your diet work.

Every nutrient is totaled across all your products and shown in one view. Bring it to your GI in one tap so the next conversation starts with specifics.

Test for this.

The Full Functional Gap panel captures comprehensive metabolic and nutrient markers, a foundation for an IBS workup that goes past low-FODMAP.

Ask about your own record in plain language: “Which probiotic strain am I actually taking?” “When should I take L-glutamine?” The coach answers from the stack you built and the labels you scanned, not generic advice. It is information, not a diagnosis.
